Here is the breakdown of the healing stages:

Days 1 to 5
Eyebrows dry and form a scab, which protects the tissue underneath from germs. Your brows will look full and bold. The color may look dark, but keep in mind that it’ll eventually fade. You’ll likely experience redness but it will subside in a few hours. On The first day of the procedure, BrianBrows The technician will ask you to use a dampened cotton pad to gently tap on your brows every hour until bedtime. From day 2nd onward, clean the same way just twice a day in the morning and afternoon. After the procedure, the skin is still open, so proper cleaning will protect your brows from infection and prevent thick scabbing, avoiding color fading later.
Days 5-7
Eyebrows will start to flake off as scabbing falls away. They will be flaky, and you might experience dryness and itching. This is normal and indicates that your skin is healing. Refrain from scratching your brows to prevent infection and scarring. You can use a dampened cotton pad to gently tap on the area to reduce itching. Resist the temptation to pick the scabs, which can reopen the wounds and disrupt the healing process. It might also remove some pigment, resulting in patchy brows. Let the scabs flake off naturally instead. As your brows continue to flake, the dark color will soften. But rest assured that the color will come back. Don't apply anything on your brows.
After Days 7 or 10
Flaking ends and color return. After the first week, the flaking will gradually stop. The color will also return.
Days 21 to 30
The color of your eyebrows should look more even and natural. The individual brow hairs will also look more defined, creating the appearance of feathery eyebrows.
After 1 month, your skin will be completely healed. You shouldn’t feel any pain or discomfort. Your eyebrows should also look soft. The color is likely to fade by approximately 20%-40% after it has completely healed.
Touch-Up After Healing
Once your brows have healed, you will need to return to BrianBrows for a touch-up to complete the process. This allows BrianBrows technicians to check how your skin has healed and fix any spots. The touch-up session is priced separately at just $99 plus tax. Usually, the BrianBrows technician will help you book an appointment for the touch-up right after you finish the first session. If you are unable to schedule it then, please contact BrianBrows as soon as possible to book an appointment to complete the process.
During the healing time, if you have any inquiries or are unsure about something, please contact BrianBrows right away for further guidance.
Annual Maintenance
It’s normal for permanent makeup to fade over time. After you complete the process, your brows should last for at least 2 years to 3.5 years. Every year, you might need to do maintenance once to maintain the shape, color, and definition of your brows. The best frequency depends on your preferred look.
It also depends on how your skin holds onto the pigment. For some people, the pigment may fade quickly, requiring more frequent touch-ups.
Compared to your first session, a touch-up is essentially the same procedure but on a smaller scale. It’s done on a few areas rather than the whole brow. You can expect a similar healing process, though some clients report shorter healing times after touch-ups. Everyone is different.
